The "secret" transfer agreement between West Ham and Arsenal.?? Copyright,Hugh Monteith and Co.
I'm not sure if this character(s) , Twinhammer Network etc, is still around??

Anyway one of his claims was that West Ham would never sell players to Arsenal. Have we??

But we've certainly signed plenty of their dross over the years. Therefore I'd be loathe to take any of their players in part-exchange for Rice.

What Arsenal dross signing sticks in your memory?

John Radford was an early one.

This agreement is true.

Arteta is fuming.

They’re trying to reach an agreement to break it. West Ham have asked for Saka, Martinelli, The Emirates and exclusive brand rights over Gunnersaurus to break the agreement.

Freddie Ljungberg was absolute shite. Not as bad as Wilshere but up there with the worst from Arsenal.

I think it's more a case that Arsenal have never wanted any of our players. Not even Carlton Cole - unbelievable as that may sound.

We've sold plenty of our better players to all of the other "bigger" clubs (with the exception of new money Man City who we've sold a few average/ older players).

It is an anomaly that the arse have never bought a player off us, at least for a very long time, but nothing to do with what the fantasist hugh monteith says obviously.

Didn't Cottee have a choice between Everton or Arsenal? Plus if memory serves McAvennie had a choice to come back to either West Ham or go to Arsenal and I suspect he thought George Graham wouldn't appreciate his visits to Stringfellows as ,much as John Lyall! The irony being he ended up with Lou Macari as manager a few months later and of course Arsenal went out and brought Ian Wright instead. Sliding doors moment in football.

It's not true anyway.

Back in the mists of time, we sold two of our best players to Arsenal, and they played in the Arsenal team that later knocked us out of the FA Cup.

Montieth tried to argue this away by saying that the players in question signed for Thames Ironworks, but we were definitely West Ham when we sold them.

I'm not going to rediscover my sources for this, but someone else who's interested enough to be bothered might
